    1: Vet Set Go’s Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest

    In 2023, Vet Set Go and VCA Animal Hospitals have teamed up to launch the largest “Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest” yet, helping students pursue their dream of becoming a veterinarian. This year, the contest has expanded the scholarship essay contest with more winners and two months of application time. The contest launches Feb. 1 and ends on March 31. It will award 45 students from across the United States a scholarship prize package to attend Vet Camp. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students are invited to apply. The prize package is valued at $1,200 and includes tuition, materials, and room and board at the world-renowned Auburn University Junior Veterinary Camp in Auburn, Alabama, from June 18 – 23, 2023.     4: TNR Certification Workshop

    If you’re ready to be part of the solution for feral and stray cats in your neighborhood, check out the Community Cats Podcast’s Trap-Neuter-Return Certification Workshop, which helps people learn how to help lost, abandoned or homeless cats and kittens. Presented in partnership with Neighborhood Cats, the workshop features expert instructors who will teach best practices for TNR and colony management. Topics include: getting along with neighbors, preparation for trapping, trapping itself, feeding, providing winter shelter and more. The workshop takes place from 2 to 4:30 pm EST, and registration costs $10, which includes access to the recorded session, handouts and certificate. Learn more about the workshop here.

    12: Great American Rescue Bowl

    The Kitten Bowl has moved and now airs on the GAC Family network with a name change and some furry additions, showcasing adoptable kittens, puppies, cats and dogs from shelters throughout the United States.
